Tuesday March 20 vs. the DBacks

It was an absolute gorgeous day at Salt River Fields where the San Francisco Giants visited the Arizona Diamondbacks for what felt like a regular season game.
Salt River Fields was completely sold out and recorded its largest crowd (12,575) in its short existence.
Barry Zito pitched well for the Giants, pitching five innings, allowing seven hits and striking out three.
"My command was a bite off the first couple innings," Zito said after the game, "but it got better as the game went on."
The Giants began the scoring in the first inning when Buster Posey hit a beautiful sac-fly to right field, bringing home Melky Cabrera.
The DBacks responded right back in the bottom half of the inning when Gerardo Parra hit a bomb to center field with Paul Goldschmit on base, putting the snakes up 2-1.
Gregor Blanco lead off the second inning with a single to center, later scoring when Brandon Crawford singled to left field.
Zito helped himself out at the plate in the fourth, with Ryan Theriot on third base, when he executed a perfect squeeze bunt play that scored Theriot, knotting the game back up at three.
Both teams went scoreless till the last batter, when A.J. Pollock hit a game winning home run, giving the DBacks the win 4-3.

Wednesday March 14 vs the Indians

Matt Cain took the hill for the Giants Wednesday afternoon at Scottsdale Stadium, and even though this was just another few innings in Spring Training, the Matt Cain that is seen in mid-August was the Matt Cain that showed up.
Cain was focused and determined to get in regular season form.
With a full count to an Indians batter and two outs, Cain missed low.  Just a walk.  Not in Cain's eyes.
He quickly shot off the mound and yelled "SHOT!"
Matt finished the day strong, throwing 3 innings.  He is hoping to go 5 plus innings in his next outing.
One bright spot for the Giants offense was the first homer from catcher Buster Posey.  Posey was the DH and he took a outside fastball to right field, just over the 330 sign.
The Giants and Indians went 10 innings and finished in a 2-2 tie.

Tuesday March 13 vs. the Cubs

Arizona is beginning to heat up temperature wise while the Giants bat's were hiding in the shadows of winter Tuesday as they played host the Cubs at Scottsdale Stadium.
Angel Pagan lead the Giants offense, going 2-4 and beginning the only big rally of the day.  Pagan hit a double that started a three-run eight inning.
One positive from the Giants offense this spring is that they are actually hitting the ball.
Last year's offensive campaign was not only disheartening but was flat out ridiculous.
The Giant faithful have something to look forward to this 2012 season with Pagan in the lead off spot.
