The Arizona Fall League is a great way for big league ball clubs to send some of their young hot prospects down to valley to get instruction from some veteran ball players. I have the benefit of having the fall league right in my own back yard. It's a 5 minute drive to Mesa Hohokam Stadium, less than a 15 minute drive to Scottsdale Stadium and less a 20 minute drive to the new Salt River Fields in Scottsdale.  The Fall League this years has some great talent. Especially the Scottsdale Scorpions who have Bryce Harper from the Washington Nationals organization and Mike Trout from the Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles organization. And as a huge Giants fan, I get to see guys like Brandon Crawford and Gary Brown.

So I have been alive for 26 years and it took me a whole 26 years to meet my idol Jerry Rice. It took my son only 15 months. We also went over to Scottsdale Stadium one morning and found Freddy Sanchez and Buster Posey doing some winter workouts. In one week, T-bone and I have meet some big time stars.
